Palace of the Prophets
A Literate Fantasy Based Roleplay
For three thousand years the Sisters of the Light have reveled in the training of
young wizards and the upbringing of sorceress’ until they reach their full potential. As a small
child you were brought to the palace without a strong extent of knowledge. One major change you discover, your trapped in time. A spell long ago was placed upon the palace, while you age only a year those on the outside of the city’s gate twenty. Captured until your training is complete you age over three hundred years while your loved ones have passed on.
As a young sorceress coming to the palace is of your own will. You come
willing to learn of the greater good with the guidance of the creator and the sisters. You
learn to accept your gift by becoming one with your han. You learn all you need to know about
the duties of training a wizard. Your last requirement as a novice is your charge. A wizard assigned to you specifically for you to guide and teach. You teach him of all things the Creator, the Nameless One (Keeper), han, and his calling. Once he is promoted so are you, to the full rank of a
sister. Then you may teach any charge, which has been brought to the palace. You
rank only below the prelate and her advisors.
As a young boy three sisters arrive at your doorstep. One of the sisters carry two smooth pieces of metal (the R’ada han), to serve as a collar of sorts. Each sister carries a reason for which you should clasp it around your neck. As of late you’ve been suffering from severe headaches connected to the gift which can be cured only through training. There are no wizards left so the sisters are the only choice.
Being young your parents hold the right to choose so you hear only the first reason,
to control your headaches from the gift. So to your dismay you are forced to clasp the R’ada han around your neck. Once placed it becomes a ring of seamless cool steel, to come off only after your training. Not till the journey to the palace do you learn the other two reasons. One
to control you the other to give you pain.
You then journey through the lands of Peridition, containing the towers of
Peridition. A dangerous place of magic you can only cross twice. Once you reach the
palace your assigned novice learns the magic of your R’ada han so as to know your where-abouts at all times. At first you may travel miles outside the city gates into the savage lands before
feeling the pain of the R’ada han. Each time you are promoted you lose more space
until finally you are limited to the palace alone. Until then you are provided
with an unlimited amount of gold for use in the city.
Of late there has been trouble stirring in the palace. Sisters of the Dark have
been creating havoc. Now begins your journey through time as you learn to master your calling or your sisterhood. You will learn more of these characters in the intricately detailed
rules of each. Come join the adventure .
