Rose rolled her eyes. "Cainy," She said after swallowing her chunk of strawberries and pie crust. "A little peice of pie isn't going to hurt any."

“Yeah, but Rosie, a little piece of pie for you is half of the damn thing,” Cain replied, looking at her sternly. “You don’t follow orders well enough. C’mon, now you need to listen to what the doctors say.”

Rose turned to him, frowning. "....Fine." She dropped her fork and stalked into the living room.

“Okay, fine, just ignore the orders then Rose,” Cain replied, putting his own fork down and following behind her. “But then how are you going got feel if something were to happen? Huh? I’m not trying to be mean, it’s just you don’t listen too much else.”

Rose sank onto the couch, her back to him. "...You know I'd hate it if anythign happened to the baby. But I know how to control myself, Cain. I'm not gonna go scarfing down the whole damn pie by myself or something stupid like that."

“Okay, if you say so, Rose,” Cain muttered, deciding it was best if he just gave up. He wasn’t going to win anyways. He had a better chance at winning a game of football against the Cowboys.

"Good..." Rose leaned her back against his chest, closing her eyes with a soft sigh.

Cain grinned. It was funny how she could get by with talking to him like that, he couldn’t think of another person in the world he’d let win an argument. With anyone else it just seemed disgraceful. “Well, I’m happy that you’re happy,” he replied, looping one arm as far around her as he could. Cain briefly wondered if Jack suffered from ‘Eva Mood Swings’ like he did from ‘Rose Mood Swings’.

Rose opened her eyes and smiled up at him. "And I'm happy when your happy, so it evens out."
"And that leaves me where?" Wika walked into the living room, cradling her overly fluffy jet black cat, Rasputin, in her arms. Rasputin's bright orange eyes stared straight at Cain, unblinking.

“Getting rid of that damn cat?” Cain asked, looking hopefully at his daughter. No sooner then he had gotten rid of Rose’s little annoying dog, Wika had dragged in a cat. Cain hated cats worse than he hated dogs. “That’d be a start. Then we could work on that ‘moving out and getting your own apartment’ thing.”

"Daaaaad!" Will finally came inside, shirtless and carrying the soda-soaked once worn shirt under his arm. "Ran outta napkins, so I had to use my clothes!" he grinned at the assembled group, using the same plot he always used to get himself out of trouble- pure charm.

“Did you get all the soda cleaned up?” Jack cocked an eyebrow at his son. “Where’s the can?”

"Yeah dad!" Will turned his grin on his father. "I threw it away outside!"

“Outside as in, in the grass?” Jack couldn’t help but smirk, Cain had a thing about keeping his yard immaculate. He put on his stern father face and glanced at Eva for help.

Eva smirked slightly, making a hand gesture at Jack to take care of it himself.
"Nah, Dad! There's trashcans outside." Will laughed

“He probably ate the can.” Kaitlyn teased, sticking her head around the corner. Jack sighed and shook his head.
“Alright, Will, you’re cleaning the truck next weekend; inside and out.”

Cain had started laughing as soon as the boy had walked through the door.
“You got a smart one there, Jack, know how to improvise. Hell, he was even willing to give up his shirt to clean your truck.”

"I dunno there, Mr. Jiovanni." Will said, turning to face his dad's best friend. "I might just be showing off my muscles for Wika." he laughed

“Yeah, well, Will, I think the front door’s that way. Last time I checked anyway.” Cain replied, he was still smiling, which was really odd because this was about the time he stopped being nice. His daughter had just entered the conversation.
“Though you could ask Wika to run upstairs and grab you a shirt out of my room, then you could stay.” He added quickly, “But you stay down here.”

"......I WAS just kidding, y'know." WIll shrugged to himself and untied the sweatshirt that he normally kept around his waist, grumbling to himself. "Jeez, I called you Mister and everything."
