“Rose, I don’t care… I just…don’t… care,” Cain huffed, raking a hand through his hair, “pick whatever f**k**g color you like best. It’s not that hard.”
He was trying hard not to lose patience with Rose, but wedding arrangements were really starting to drive him insane. Cain, for the life of him, couldn’t understand why she was fussing over this so much. All this work was for one day, one day. One day of the rest of their lives, why did it even matter so damn much? What was the difference in white and antique white anyway, and who cared? Cain sure as hell didn’t.
“I’m sick of looking at cake layouts, I’m sick of music, of invites and of seating arrangements. Just stop. f**k**g. Asking. Me… you just get all pissy when I don’t answer the you want me too, so why are you even askin’ me?” His voice had that hard tone to it now, and he was glaring at the sales woman with a look at could kill.
Cain turned around, before turning back to look at Rose, “Hell, if I knew it was gonna take this much, I just wouldn’t have even asked you to f**k**g marry me.”

Rose's expression morphed from annoyance to the point where she looked as if she would burst into tears but that quickly changed to anger. "Cain, if you can't take planning a simple wedding what the hell makes you think you can handle married life?!"
With an angry snarl Rose turned on her heels, grabbing her bag off a chair near the door. With her back turned to Cain she stormed out the door, dropping something on the floor with a soft clink behind her as she slammed the botique door shut. Her gold and diamond engamement ring glittered on the floor just inside the store.

Cain sighed heavily, watching as the woman that had been helping Rose rushed off. He probably looked like he could kill some one, he couldn’t really blame her for getting away from him as fast as she could. But Rose, now, she he could blame.
She was the one that had been obsessed with “wedding this” and “wedding that”. Hell, people weren’t even going to remember the damn thing a year after it happened. And she’d only gotten worse as she realized they only had about three weeks until the “big” day.
Cain snorted. She was being a b*tch, this wasn’t his problem. Rolling his eyes, he started to walk out, but then the glitter of the ring caught his eye. Cain stopped and bent to pick it up, shaking his head as he stuffed it into the front pocket of his shirt. “Good goin’ dumbass, she took off the ring,” he muttered to himself as he rushed out the door, looking down the side walk in hopes of catching up to her. He saw her round a corner, and by the scowl on her face, he judged she was pretty pissed.
“Rose!” He raced after her, “Rose! Come back!” Finally he was right behind her, pushing people out of the way to reach out to grab her arm and pull her back to a stand still. “Rose, just wait a damn minute.”

Rose yanked her arm away, her head turned defiantly away from him so he couldn't see her face. "What. Is it. Cain." Her was was slow and calm, a sure sign of her anger. She bent her head slightly, her blond hair falling in front of her face, obscuring her expression even more.

“Look, I’m sorr- will you just look at me?” He asked, sighing when she didn’t comply. “Look, I’m sorry… I know all this wedding shit has you stressed out, hell, it’s got me stressed out. I-I… didn’t mean to snap at you back there.”

Rose glanced at him, pushing her hair away from her face. Her eyes were wet with tears. "You think I'm not...?" Her voice was soft. "I...I'm gonna go for a walk to clear my head, alright?" She turned to face him, plating a soft kiss on his cheek. "I'll see you at home." She hurried off down the street before he could reply, disappearing down the street.

"O..kay," Cain watched Rose walk away. It was never good when she was crying AND she wanted alone time. No, those two were never good together.
Cain shook his head, digging his keys out of his pocket as he started back for his car. Well, at least he could listen to real music now and now sappy love ballads.

Rose wiped the tears off her face as she entered the park. Yeah, a nice long walk would do her good. She just wished she had Kibbles with her, for company.
She was still so angry with Cain and with good reason. He could just be so infuriating sometimes! But, she reminded herself, he had apologized, that was something. Rose sighed. Maintaning a relationship while planning a wedding was complicated.

"Rose?" a voice called out quietly from the doorway of a nearby shop. A group of flowerpots and a bouquet exited, followed by xander, who set his load down in the back of a pickup truck before frowning at Rose. "I thought that was you... Why're you crying?"

Rose jumped slightly, but realxed when she saw it was only Xander. "Xander...hey..." She wiped her eyes. "I'm not crying, I just...got something in my eye." Knowing how lame her lie sounded, she hung her head. "It's nothing, just...Cain and I had another fight..."

"Ah." Xander nodded knowingly, pulling a rose out of the bouquet- Lord knows the ones the store owner made him for Cass had enough of them- and holding it out. "Here, Rose for Rose. Want someone to walk with?"

Rose smiled and wiped the remaining tears off her cheeks. She took the rose gratefully. "Thnaks, Xander...that'd be really nice."

Xander nodded, throwing a tarp over his flowerpots and locking his work truck up. He offered hi arm to her with a faint smile, thinking about all the ways Cassie would blow up if she knew. Still, Jack's new friends weren't that bad, and he hated seeing pretty girls cry. Or anyone, really, but mostly girls.
"So, where to, then?"

Rose smiled and took his arm. "How about we head over to the Full Moon if you have time? I'm off today but I skipped breakfast so I could get to my dress fitting on time."

"Ah, I could spare an hour or so." Xander smiled lightly. "But then it's back to work for me, got it?"

"Rosie, you don't have to..." Xander said slowly, before shaking his head. "Well, here we are." he said lightly, opening the door for her.

"Hey, color me compliant." Xander protested, holding his hands up. "Arguing with women does me no good, especially when I'm due to get free drinks out of the deal."

Rose grinned and shot him a wink. "Exactly, dearest Xander." She made her way to an available table and sat down, dropped her bag on the floor next to her chair.
