Jack was suddenly awake.
“Is she alright? Did you call for help? Where are you?” He shot the questions out, his voice trembling softly.

Cain grimaced at the sight of a needle. Boy did he hate those, even when they weren’t going into him. He shut his eyes for a moment, hoping they’d be past that when he reopened them.
He opened one eye, just to check. Good it was gone.
He grinned, in spite of everything else. “Nah, maybe not this week, but no worries. You’ll be good as new in no time.”
The siring was driving him up the wall; one would think they would get a different sound with a town full of wolf people. He was thankful to see the hospital come into view.
There was a bur of movement after they came to a halt. Leaving Cain to sign papers and fill out everything he knew about Rose, sitting alone in the waiting room.

Jack paused for a moment.
“Alright, Eva, I hate to be a pain in the ass but I’d owe you big time if you could take me to the hospital.” He scribbled down a note to his mom, intending on skating to the damn hospital if Eva couldn’t take him.

"Erk, well, I...." Eva vaguely knew how to drive, but didn't TECHNICALLY have her permit. Well, there's not many cops around, and this WAS an emergency, right? Right.
"I'll be there in 3 minutes." she promised, jogging out to Cain's car

Jack was at the front door before she finnished her sentence.
"I'lll be waiting outside." He hung up and walked out the door. He paced outside, every five seconds checking his watch.
"C'mon, Eva."

“Mister Jiovanni?” A woman in white asked, smiling softly.
“Uh, yeah. That’s me,” Cain said, smiling lightly, as though it was killing him. “Is Rose alright? Can I see her?”
The woman smiled and replied, “Um, I’m sorry. I don’t know, the doctor will be with you shortly. He’ll tell you when it’s clear for visitation. ” She nodded her head, in the fake ‘I’m-so-sorry’ fashion, and heading him more papers. “I need you to fill these out, so I can release information to you regarding Miss Karter.”
Cain sat down with a huff, his ink pen moving over the paper once more.
Ooc; I hope you realize that if Eva kills that car, Cain will be killing someone. Lol.

Two an a half minutes later, Eva pulled up at Jack's house, unlocking the car doors. <Good thing this is like those Arcade racing games.....>

Jack watched as Cain’s car came to a stop at his house. He sprinted towards the driver’s side door and opened it.
“Scoot over.” He waved impatiently at Eva. “If something happens to Cain’s baby,” He paused, imagining Cain’s wrath. Hell, he didn’t have to imagine. “I’d much rather him be pissed off at me than at you.”

Cain was tired of sitting there. Where was everyone? Tala was away on some damned vacation or something, but the others should be there soon. Or so he hoped.
After turning in his last batch of papers, the nurse behind the counter smiled sweetly and asked him to sit down. He’d been just standing there for two or three minutes.
“Sir, can I ask you to please sit down.” Cain glared at her.
“No. I am not sitting down. I’ve been here for thirty minutes, and so far the only damn help I’ve had is that other damned woman that keeps bringing me more papers to fill out! Now, I want to at least know something. Anything.” Cain was not happy.
“Sir, I can’t release anything to you. You’re not her legal guardian. We’ll get the papers filled and see if the court grants you pass.” She was smiling again.
Cain rolled his eyes. “For all you know, I could her damned husband and you wouldn’t tell me anything.” He was about to walk off, then thought better of it.
He turned back around, hitting the counter.
“Sir, please have a seat, or I’m going to have to call security.” The woman warned.
“No, lady. You don’t get it. Do you know who I am? Jiovanni, ring a bell? My father could shut this hospital down if he wanted too.” Cain was mad. “Now, if you don’t let me see that you’ve done one speck of your damn job, then I’m going to see Rose with or without consent.” Just like daddy dearest.
He started toward the swinging doors he’d seen them wheel Rose into, but two guards came around just as he passed the front counter. Damn buttons that call people. Stupid nurses.
“Do we have a problem here?” One asked, looking at Cain.
He was about to persist on, when the two men grabbed up his arms and preceded to see him to the door.
Cain sat outside with his head in his hands.

Jack hopped in and pulled the seat belt across his chest. He glanced at Eva and motioned for her to do the same. His foot hit the gas and there was a faint smell of burning rubber but he was on his way to see Rose and that was all that mattered. He glanced over at Eva and judged by her expression that he was driving way to fast so he put a little less pressure on the pedal. After running several stoplights, they pulled into the Hospital parking lot. Jack pulled into a spot, cut the engine, and ran as fast as he could to the double doors. He was almost in the lobby when he realized he had seen Cain outside so he back tracked.
“Shit, Cain, they kicked you out?” He decided to make it a rhetorical question.
“C’mon, I know another way in.”

Cain looked up to see Eva and Jack standing there. He'd never been so happy to see another person in his life.
"Lead the way," Cain said quickly jumping up from his seat. "But I still don't know if they'll even let me in Rose's room."
He shook his head as though he couldn't believe what he'd done.
"I had to pick today to be a smart ass to more then you guys. The nurse at the front desk is not going to happy to know I'm back in the building."

Jack grinned devilishly.
“What she doesn’t know can’t hurt her, can it?” He paused and patted his pocket, pulling out Cain’s car keys. He wiggled them under Cain’s nose.
“Didn’t even scratch her.” He grinned before sprinting towards the side of the building. He glanced around to make sure no one was coming and rolled a dumpster underneath a fire escape ladder. He climbed on top and waited for his friends to join him.
“My ma was in an accident and they wouldn’t let me in to see her.” He explained before being asked. He shrugged slightly. “That didn’t fly too well.”

Cain grabbed at his car keys.
“Better now have,” Cain replied, stuffing the jingling ring into his open jacket pocket. “And I’m goin’ check too.”
Cain watched as his friend began climbing. He’d never have thought of this. Thank God for best friends. And fire escapes.
“Somehow, I don’t doubt that one damn bit,” Cain replied, testing his boots to make sure they wouldn’t slip off the runs on the latter. “Be careful, Eva.” He yelled back over his shoulder. “If you fall you’ll be in there with Rose.”
He’d hate to have to visit another friend. Rose was almost more then he could tolerate.

“Hey!” Jack called down to Cain. “Once you get up here stay to your left, there’s a security camera.” Once they were all up on the roof he crept towards a ramp that led to double door.
“They have to have these things incase there’s a fire and they have to evacuate.” He sobered up quickly, pausing at the doors.
“How bad is she, Cain?” He chewed the inside of his cheek. “Just so I know what to expect.”

Cain yelled back an ‘okay’, and soon he was pulling himself up over the upper most part of the building.
“Damn that’s a long way up –and down- I think they’ll need more then that if they have a fire.” Cain remarked, making his way slowly over to the doors where Jack stood.
He sighed, biting his lip for a moment.
“Not good, I mean, really. I don’t know. There was a hellava lotta blood, man.” He shook his head and continued, “She was talking to me. I mean, that’s got to count for something, right? There was defiantly some damage to her side, I wasn’t about to left up her shirt to see, just incase it was really bad. I don’t think I could have handled that.”
Cain closed his eyes for a moment. “Jack, what are we going to do if something happens? What if I didn’t get there fast enough? What if she di- you know, doesn’t make it, while I’m in[/b] there?”

“That’s why they use helicopters, dipshit.” Jack shook his head and he swallowed hard before finding his voice to answer Cain’s question. He ran a hand through his hair.
“Shit Cain,” He sighed. “I don’t know, man.” He shook his head again and opened the doors.
“You don’t happen to know what room she’s in, do you?” He asked quietly.

“Oh.” He hadn’t really thought of helicopters, though sick people climbing down a latter didn’t make much since now that he thought about it.
“Lotta damn help you are,” Cain muttered, following Jack into the building.
“Sure I do, tell me, when was I s’pose to get it. Before I was yelling at the receptionist or while they were kickin’ me out?”
“Just ask someone at the first nurse’s station.”

“Yeah Cain, real inconspicuous. Might as well announce we’re not supposed to be here while you’re at it.” He shook his head and scanned the hall way.
“Well this is the ICU so she’s probably somewhere in this hallway.” He sighed, ducking his head in the rooms he passed. He stopped at one and motioned for Cain and Eva to follow him before he disappeared inside.
((ooc: since she’s not here you wanna just say she’s unconscious?))
