Character name: Tala Blake Jiovanni,
My name: Tala
Character nickname: Tala has none but loves to call her
Brother, Cainy
Race: Lycan
Grade: Junior
Age: sixteen
Birthday: July Eleventh 1990
History: Against her will, Tala has spent the vast majority of her life being pampered and spoiled. Instead of spending time with Tala and showing her affection, her parents make up for their poor parenting skills by trying to pamper their children. Eventually Tala mastered the art of ignoring her parents, something even Cain can not do sometimes.
However her life didn’t start off with expensive cars and shinny toys. Her story is one of sadness and pain. It all started as a result of a union between a human and a werewolf, her parents. The tragedy that befell the young couple would rob them of a life together Tala’s human mother, Jade‘s, envious ex-fiancé found out about her father, Blake’s secret. One stormy night, fueled by jealously and a drunken stupor, he shot Tala’s father and then her mother. Blake died immediately and her mother was rushed to the emergency room. A cesarean saved baby Tala’s life. Yet nothing the doctors did could save Jade. Tala was left orphaned. Her tale stood a testimony to the dangers her kind faced. Many showed sympathy. Among them was a human couple. They wanted to adopt Tala. The Jiovanni family and the rest of the werewolf community knew that could be disastrous. Deciding it would be in Tala’s best interest to be raised by them they fought for custody. Their influence and wealth secured the ruling, the Jiovanni’s adopted Tala; giving her a home and a future among her kind.
Tala learned from an early age to embrace her nature. Being a werewolf was like a gift to Tala. The only gift her biological father had given her. It allowed her freedom the Jiovanni parents, who only had her best intentions at heart, tied to keep her from.
Important relationships : Tala's close friends are the members of her band. As unusual as it, Tala has always been exrtremly close to her brother. Even so Tala enjoys solitude. She has never been close to either of her parents. They were always ready to indulge Tala with what ever she desired but sometimes she desired more from them than materiel things. Because she has nothing in common with them, Tala doesn’t have any close girlfriends of her own age She can get along with them fine, but hanging out with them is a different story.
She has a lot of male acquaintances but she is not close too many of them. She tends to be too strong willed for most guys taste. They can’t stand to have a girl out do them. ( Ok so I am a bit of a sexist))
Mannerisms: Tala chews gum religiously. The madder she gets the harder she smacks.
Any time Tala is faced with a decision or she is in deep thought she ties her hair back.
It’s hard to make Tala mad, but when she is you’ll know. Her tantrums normally consist of flying fists.
Fear/ dislikes: Tala’s biggest fear is Cain’s dirty socks. She absolutely swears one day they are going to grow some sort of deadly fungus and take over Whicker Street.
She hates cats and shopping with a passion. Likes: Tala likes rock and roll, bubble gum, coffee, and her baby, a white Gold Wing, Mercedes with purple interior, mag wheels, and chrome . Tala also loves violin and other string instruments.
Hobbies: Tala is a musician and a mechanic. Her most prominent hobbies include working on old cars and playing strings in The Silver Bullet. She also enjoys hanging out with her annoying older brother and teasing him relentlessly.
Music: A short list of the many artists Tala adores includes Creed, Breaking Benjamin, Stain, Three Doors Down, Elvis Presley, Conway Twitty, Charlie Daniels, Journey, Bon Jovi, and classics like Handel, Joplin, and Bach.
Appearance: Tala’s crown of glory, her hair, is long and dark brown. Her large eyes are fringed by long thick eyelashes. Typically they are a smoky gray. Although they have a tendency to change according to her temperament. Tala’s petite frame hides the strength afforded to werewolves; she weighs a mere 112 pounds. At 5’2 Cain calls her short, but Tala insists she is just vertically challenged.
Personality: Tala has a sweet disposition. She is nice to almost everyone even though she isn’t a people person. She enjoys solitude and keeps to her self a lot. She does not rely on anyone’s inner strength other than her own.
Despite her genteel nature, Tala can be angered. It may take a lot but being cruel to others, especially people she cares for, will quickly earn you a meeting with Tala’s fist. She posses fierce loyalties.
She’s honest, down to earth, and sensitive. She has a passionate streak she tries not to let show. Tala is most venerable to allow people to see this side to her when she is expressing herself through her lifeline, music.
One of Tala‘s more problematic characteristics, she is very independent, despite being the baby of the family. Once she sets her mind on something there is no standing in her way. She is tremendously stubborn, overly intense, and competitive.
She’s adventurous and full of curiosity. Which gets her in trouble with her over protective parents. Admitted, she does not like to play by anyone’s rules other than her own. Sometimes her ambition is her downfall. She tends to be a perfectionist, a neat freak, and at times a control freak..
Sample rp intro: Tala wiped her hands on a soiled bandana in an attempt to rid her hands of grease. She shut the hood of her Mercedes. She slipped into her car and was careful not to stain the lavish interior of her baby. Tala avoided touching anything but the ignition switch. She turned the key and released it as the engine purred. She revved the engine by tapping her foot on the gas.
Tala turned the radio on to hr favorite hard rock station and blew a large bubble with her gum. She laughed when it popped on her face.
Suddenly remembering, she glanced at the clock mounted on the garage wall. Tala groaned. She had completely forgotten the time. There was no way she’d be able to wash away all this grit, erasing the evidence she had been working on her car. Tala stepped out of the blacken jumpsuit. She rubbed a forefinger across her cheek, leaving a black streak in its wake.
With speed surprising for her size Tala dashed into the house. Frantically she picked up the phone and dialed her mother’s office number. There was no answer.
“Great,” Tala muttered. Mom was on her way home and Tala looked like a nasty grease monkey. She could almost hear her mother’s scolding voice now….
“Tala Blake Giovanni how many times do I have to tell you to stay away from cars? That is man’s work! If you need your car fixed tell your brother.” Tala would then argue that she knew more about cars than Cain ever dreamed about. Like always her mother would call in her father for reinforcement. They would go on and on about how dangerous it was and how she should be spending her free time shopping with girlfriends instead of fixing cars or playing her violin for hours at a time. The problem was she didn’t like shopping and she didn’t have girlfriends. This was who she was. This was who Tala wanted to be. Why couldn’t her parents let her simply be Tala?
