Character's Name; Arizona ‘Sunny’ Adams
Name you want to be called; The One and Only Cain, lol.
Character’s Nickname(s); Sunny, Zoney
Race; Human
Grade; 11th
Age; 16
Birthday; 28th of July 1990
History; Arizona was born and breed in you guessed it, Arizona. She never really had a permanent home though; her mother and father were both left overs from the late 1960’s hippy movement, and tended to move around regularly. In fact, she lived in a motor home (after the van broke down the year she was born) until she was seven.
After that her mother decided that she should at least have a normal house to live in, even if their family didn’t really fit into the ‘normal’ category.
In fact, Arizona has never really known ‘normal’. To her living each day to the fullest is a way of life, and growing up in over six different homes (not counting the van or motor home) is ‘normal’.
She was taught that animals are to be loved, not eaten, and has never had a bite of ‘meat’ in her entire life. Her mother thought it best if she knew everything there was to know about ‘Mother Earth’ and even went as far as to teach her every constellation in the sky.
The nick name ‘Sunny’ was given to her by her father, because he says she was the best thing ever happened to him and his wife. The Sun gives life, and he believes Arizona does the same thing for their family.
Sunny moved to Cold Creek to finally settle down a few weeks back when her father got the job he’d always wanted, to work on clearing the environment of toxins for the U.S. Government (even though he believes they are nothing more then a pack of rabid brain washing idiots). Her mother decided Cold Creek would be the perfect place to open up her very own flower and herb shop.
Sunny was just happy not to be moving again.
Important Relationships; Mother and Father, who both support Sunny in any choice she makes.
Mannerisms; Sunny tends to chew gum often, preferably Wrigley’s Grapermelon, when she’d nervous or hyper. She spins a piece of her hair on around her finger whenever she’s zoned out, or is deep in thought. Rolls her eyes when she’s getting upset or angry, or both.
Fears/Dislikes; (Dislikes) The idea of children living with parents that don’t teach them to respect Mother Earth, gas companies, large cities, smokers, blood, and meat. (Fears)Cigarettes, dead stuff, large dogs, large knives, and the dark.
Likes; Nature, strawberries, mangos (a lot), music, saving animals, helping people in need, and being completely crazy.
Hobbies; Singing, writing poetry, hanging out outside, working on community projects, meeting new people, making beaded jewelry, and reading. Working at the hospital as a volunteer.
Music; Saving Jane, Shakira, The All-American Rejects, James Blunt, Three Days Grace, the Fray, Evanescence, Taking Back Sunday, 3 Doors Down, Keith Urban, The Wreckers. Anything from the ‘60s.
Appearance; Sunny’s not short but not tall either, standing at 5’5. She’s built decently with a pretty slim body, and a little muscle from helping at the hospital and lifting things for her mother. Her eyes are large and bright green, and her skin usually stays a light color. She hardly ever wears make-up, due to the fact that some of it is tested on animals, and it clogs your pores. However, if it’s really important, she’ll wear a little, just to bring out her finer qualities.
Her light brown wavy hair usually hangs down to her lower back, but sometimes she wears it in two pig-tailed braids, one on each side of her head.
Personality; Arizona has a bubbly, airy sort of personality. Most people see her as ‘the weird girl’, even though she isn’t really that weird at all. She simply calls them as she sees them, and speaks her mind whenever the notion crosses her.
She believes deeply in ‘The Higher Power’ and ‘Mother Earth’. Most of the time she is a loving, sweet sort of person, but get on her bad side and she is a force to be reckoned with. She can be a little confusing at times, most of the time even succeeding in confusing herself. Which isn’t really that hard to do.
Sample RP intro; “Sunny!” A voice yelled from the top of the basement stairs. “Time for work, bubble bee, better get a move on!”
A mop of tangly light brown hair appeared to stir in the full sized bed that was jammed into one corner of the brightly painted room.
“Huh,” Came as a sound as the owner of the mop sat up, green eyes squinting to adjust to the bright light coming threw the windows on the opposite side of the basement.
“Sunny! Did you hear me?” Came the voice again, as Sunny shook her head to wake up a little more.
“Yeah, Steph, I heard!” She called back, recognizing the voice that belonged to her mother. “I’m just grabbing a shower now!”
Dragging herself up, she quickly darted to the bathroom for a quick run in the shower.
Fifteen minutes later she was dressed in her usual hip-huggers and tank top, covered by her white and pink striped medical over coat. Finished off by nine or ten beaded necklaces of her own creation and the tiny white plastic tag that read ‘Sunny: Hospital Volunteer’.
Rings glinted from every finger as she slipped her bracelets on that had been lying on her nightstand.
Slipping on the ratty flip-flops that had been resting at the bottom on the staircase, Arizona flew the steps, grabbing her beaded shoulder bag off the hook in the wall as she slammed the door.
“What are you in such a hurry for,” Stephanie asked as Arizona grabbed a hand full of grapes from a green bowl on the counter, “I woke you with plenty of time to get there.”
“I know, Steph, but,” She popped a piece of fruit into her mouth, before continuing, “I’ve only been helping out there for two weeks. I still get lost sometimes, and I want to apply for the part time orderly job that’s opening next month.”
She reached for another hand full of grapes.
“At,” Her mother snapped, slapping at her hand. “Those are for the salad. I don’t think your father would like a grape-less fruit salad, do you?”
Sunny laughed. “Ah, David would get over it.”
She glanced at the clock. “Okay, I gotta go. Bye, Steph. I love you,” she said quickly, as she gave her mother a peck on the cheek.
“Hey! Call me when you get there! So I know you made it okay.” Her mother yelled out the front door as Arizona slammed the door on her crappy little Ford truck. “I love you too, Sunny!”
Sunny blew a kiss out the window before giving her mother a thumps up and pulling out of the drive.
