((ooc: Frank is the epitome of articulate.))
“So, you’re, like, an orphan,” Frank said slowly, trying to get all of this straight. “Who is obviously not from around here, with a really weird-full on black rose-pale ass-black eyeliner-wears nothing but black goth name?”

Rose finished with the shots and began on Xander's drink, a simple martini. Her eyes wandered to Ghost's guitar, her blue irises lighting up slightly. "Nice. What year?"

Ghost laughed and strummed in standard,
"Yeah pretty much mate. Well I'm from Scotland, born in Glasgow, never knew my parents, I reckon they were probably hippies or something - probably coked out their nut when they named me."
She grinned at Rose's interest in her old guitar,
"This is my baby, got it from an old friend. 1972, came out around about the same time as the fender deluxe reissue... wish I could have a shot of that badboy. Been busking since I was thirteen, just to raise enough money to get a passport and get out of Britain."
Ghost pulled her dirty old leather wallet out and looked up at Rose,
"What's the damage?" she asked with a smile,

Rose nodded in approval. "I have a bass myself. G&L semi-hollow ASAT. My dad got it for me for my birthday when I was ten." She cast a sharp smile at Frank. "Gee, Frankie, not paying the lady's tab? Some gentleman you aren't."

“Why don’t you shut your halfsie mouth and finish with my drinks instead of chatting it up with the foreign chick?” Frank responded pleasantly.

"That's...eh...that's uncalled for mate. I reckon you should apologise to the lassie."
Ghost turned to Rose, she'd have usually kept her head down in these situations but she had "dutch courage" on her side tonight. She lit up another cigarette and shoved her box of matches back in her pocket,
"Don't worry, I'll pay, I'll be busking again tomorrow so I don't mind."

Rose visibly bristled at Frank's comment but gave Ghost a quick smile. "Thanks, but I can take care of myself." <We're closing soon...I'll deck him once he's out the door.>
"For the drinks it'll be five-twenty."

“Nah, she’s right.” Frank responded in a sincere tone that he felt went nicely with the vicious grin he was casting in Rose’s direction, a showing of teeth. “Rosie, I’m sorry you’re a halfsie b*tch who can’t mind her own business.”

"Here you go!" Ghost handed Rose the cash and gave her a wee smile, "So...is there much of a...eh... night life here?"

Rose's fist shot out and stopped millimeters from Frank's nose. She stared at him with fierce blue eyes, her teeth bared in a wolf-like snarl. "You're so lucky I need this job..." She pulled her hand away slowly and turned around, picking up a few empty beer bottles off the floor behind the bar from earlier in the night.

Ghost sat and watched she kept quiet not wanting to interfere. But she was concerned about Rose, she ran her fingers through the top of her mohawk. She knew she should change the subject.
"Hey... Rose... I eh... don't think I introduced myself properly... I'm Ghost, Ghost Noir."

Rose glanced over her shoulder at Ghost, deciding to completely ignore Frank and the others...for now. "Rose Karter."

Ghost gave her a little smile,
"Pleased to meet you Rose... are you in a band?"
Ghost starting drinking the ale looking over the large rim of the glass to Rose,

Ghost nodded and smiled and took a draw from her cigarette exhaling the smoke through her nose,
"If I'm still in town you'll need to invite me to your next gig."

Rose smiled faintly and nodded over her shoulder. "Definitely...maybe you could jam with us sometime. We practice at the old warehouse."

Ghost shrugged and smiled,
"Sounds great... don't know if I'm gonnae stick around long though... plenty more of this country I want to see."

“Well, that’s probably a good for the better, yeah?” Frank gave a short laugh, completely unfazed by the punch Rose had pulled. “Halphsies are bad influences.”

Rose bit back a snarl. <I will NOT tear him apart, I will NOT tear him apart...until after work...>
She shot Ghost a grin. "Good luck to you. I'd love to leave this town one day." She leaned against the bar. "But now I really don't think I could...Dad tried to but he just ended up coming back with Mom in tow. I guess Cold Creek is just in the Karter blood."

Ghost blushed a little at Rose's warm grin, she dipped her head a little,
"Thanks, being out on the road is phenomenal... the sense of freedom... nobody to tell you what to do... it's just you and the road." She took a draw of her cigarette and let out a little laugh, "Aye, it's amazing, as long as you have nae strings..."
