Cain skipped threw the living room and up the stairs humming a song he’d heard on the ride home. Throwing in one last out burst of “air guitar” for good measure, he kicked open his bed room door and threw himself down on the bed, leaning over the edge to check his caller id. “Two New Calls” flashed in red. Pressing the large blue button on his answering machine, Cain kicked off his shoes. You have two messages. Hey, Cain here. Or rather not here. Either that or I just don’t wanna talk to you. Anyway, since you called, leave a freakin’ message after the beep, that is if you wanna. I may change my mind and call you back. Later. Beeeeep. Hey! Cainy, this is Kay, from French. Wanted to know if you’re going to that party on Saturday night. Anywho, call me babe. Incase you lost it, here’s my number. 555-4532. Hugs and Kisses. Cain half laughed. He’d told her last week he wasn’t going. At last not with her. The peroxide had gone to her head. Long ago. The second message started. It was his father. Cain change that recording. I told you about it last month. Damn it, do you do anything I tell you too? “No,” Cain muttered as the voice kept playing. Listen, no silly band stuff this week, I’ve got something for you to do. More about it when I get home. End of messages. Cain rolled his eyes, what now. Not letting the message from his father get him down, Cain quickly pulled his shirt over his head and kicked his pants somewhere under the bed. Falling back into bed, Cain sighed. It’d been a long day.

Brash pulled up to his house utop the hill. Cain had helped him fix his bike after a short practice. Atleast they were able to fix it well enough to get him home.
Brash was much calmer now than before but still depressed. He walked up the long path to his front door. 'No one home, nan will be off work, mom's still doing stuff, the house 'll be empty.' He thought.
Just as he predicted. Brash pulled himself up the stairs and fumbled into his room.
He slowly undressed in his bathroom and looked in the mirror. Now more than ever he wanted to smash it and watch his blood drip on to the counter-top.
Brash sighed and leaned against the sink with both arms. Where was his escape. He opened his eyes and there as if provoking him were the pills he had bought earlier.
Without further thought he grabbed the bottle and quickly opened the lid. With ease he slid two pills into his hand and popped them into his mouth.
Brash swallowed and again looked into the mirror. He suddenly felt confused. Like he was looking through someone else's eyes.
He shrugged and went to bed.
---
Brash slept easy deep in a dream.
The thrill of shifting through one tree to another. Heavily panting with a blood lust. The ground barely lit by the moon's continous gaze.
The creature glided through moonbeam to moonbeam. Its prey was in sight. The young woman was a stunning beauty standing there. Her fate was sealed this night.

Tala awoke with a start. She glanced around her room. It was dark. The illuminated numbers on the alarm clock told Tala it was 12:59.
She shut her eyes against the nausea threating to turn violent as flashbacks of her dream haunted her. Details alluded her. All she could remember was Brash's face, a body of some young girl covered in blood, and the shrouded face of a stranger laughing maniacally.
Her neck erupted in cold chills. Beads of sweat rolled down her temples. This was a scenario Tala. was all to familiar with. She was having another premonition. She hadn't had one in years. Tala hoped she had outgrown them, if such a thing were possible.
With no one else to turn to in the wee hours of the morning, Tala wrapped her blanket around her shaking shoulders and padded barefoot to Caine's room.

Cain grabbed hold of the pillow beside of him, pulling it closer as he gave a long sigh. Turning in his sleep again, suddenly he was wide awake and staring blankly out the window.
He’d been doing that for weeks now, swearing he was in the hospital and some weird doctor in light blue scrubs was coming at him with a needle as long as his middle finger.
No way in Hell that was ever happening in real life, but when Cain was asleep – he didn’t know the difference in the two.
Just as his head hit the pile of pillows once more, he heard a soft knock at the door.
It could only be one person.
“Come on in, Tala.” He grumbled, flipping on the tiny light on his bed side table.

Pale faced Tala let herself into Cain's room after his command. She closed the door softly. Her lower lip trembled and she couldn't stop shaking.
Trying not show how terrified she was and failing miserable Tala blurted, " I think I had another premonition. Brash was in it..." her voice trailed off she was unable to continue.

Cain stared blankly at his sister for a moment, she hadn't had a spell like this a in while.
"Like, the real thing?" He asked after a moment, sitting up and running a hand threw his messy hair, " Can I ask what Brash was doing?"
Tala looked on the borderline of tears.
"C'mon sit down a minute, then you can tell me."
Ooc// Sorry was hurrying...

Tala sat in the spot where Cain indicated.
" I can't remember much," she groaned, but there was blood lots of blood and a girl and laughter, evil laughter."
She doubled over and leaned into a trash can near Cain's bed . The taste off acid filled her throat, burning her mouth and nose. With a body racking heave her supper left her stomach and emptied into the trash can. She wiped her mouth free of the film of mucus.
Just as soon she was bent over the trash can again. After that wave passed she clutched her ribs, sore from the exertion of vomiting. The acrid after taste was a bitter reminder of the ugliness sure to come.

Cain listened to his sister’s dream attentively; after all she’d had dreams like these before. Holding her hair up, so as it didn’t interfere with her body’s current condition, Cain sighed. This could be bad, in more way then one.
Tala’s visions were back, if that’s what it even was, and Brash – well that remained to be seen.
“Okay, well, Tala, believe it or not, I can’t do anything about Brash at two in the morning. Try to go back to bed, you can sleep in here, I’ll take the floor. I know this kind of stuff freaks you out,” he said, giving her his best big brother voice. “I’ll figure something out tomorrow.”

On the other side of town, Rose Karter picked up the powder blue phone that sat on the endtable next to her bed. She dialed Cain's home number and waited, listening to the ringing. She grumbled to herself, "C'mon, Cain...Pick up..."

Grumbling about people not knowing when to call and when not to call, Cain quickly jerked his phone off the hook.
“Yeah?” He asked, sounding more ill then he’d meant too.

Rose raised an eyebrow at his tone. "Hello to you too, Jiovanni. Sorry I wasn't at rehursal tonight." She sighed. "I got kept me later at the resturaunt again and I just got home." She ran her long fingers through her fine blond hair. "Anything of importance happen in my absence?"

“Oh, Rose, sorry didn’t know it was going to be you.” Cain sighed, feeling bad for having spoken to her that way. “Well, yeah. I mean no, same as always, half the damn band was missing- or late. Which wasn’t a big surprise. More fusses blew, and stuff like that. But other then that no, everything was fine and you didn’t miss a thing.”
He peered over ,checking on his sister.
“Tala’s sick, though. That kind of sucks. Now I’ve no one to take care of me but you.” He added, trying to lighten the mood he’d created. “ So how was work?”

Rose half-smiled and stretched out on the blue comforter on her bed, decorated with, what else?, staring wolves. "Pretty boring. Broke up a small brawl by hoping up on the bar and scolding them like first-graders."
She looked down at her feet, covered by a pair of heavy black socks and over those her favorite fuzzy lavender slippers. "So Tala's sick, huh? Is it that nasty bug that's been going around?"

“Well, you had more fun then me it seems, I’m still shocked they let you serve alcohol…guess being short handed over rides the law, huh?” He asked, looking away as Tala got sick again. He turned around a bit, if she threw up on his favorite gray tee-shirt, he’d have to throw it away. There was just something that made you want to never wear something after your sibling threw up all over it. “And yeah, it’ something like a bug,” Cain added, running a hand threw his hair. He hated lying to his best friends, but it was Tala’s place to tell people, not his.

"Make sure she stays in bed and drinks a lot of juice and stuff...We don't need our strings getting dehydrated." Rose paused and then laughed. "Damnit, I've really got to stop that mothering, don't I? Guess it comes with my job." She tucked the phone inbetween her chin and her soulder and pulled a rubber band off her wrist, pulling her hair into a loose bun. "Oh yeah, I finally wrote a song I actually like."

Cain couldn’t help up laugh, Rose was always doing and saying things that made the entire band think she was either going to be the World’s Greatest or Worst Mother.
Cain switched hands, pulling himself off the bed, as if it would help him talk better.
“A song, eh? Awesome, I must hear it first, spill it.”

Rose grinned. "I just started it a few hours ago, but I really like where's it going." Her voice always got higher when she was excited and it was slowly getting up there. "It's called 'Ruckus' and it's supposed to be a duet between you and one of the girls in the band." She dug around under her bed and pulled out her beloved black and silver bass guitar. She set it on her lap and strummed a few strings.
"It's basically about this couple who're cheating on each ohter and they both know it and are calling each other out on it." She pulled a sheet of crumpled notebook paper off her nightstand and set in in front of her. "You want me to play the chorus now, the whole song, or wait till tomorrow at school?"

Cain thought for a moment. It was late. He was tired. He could wait. It was only couple of hours right?
"Umm, on second thought, just wait. Play me the chorus now, but I can wait on the rest of it." He replied, his mind reminding him of sleepy he really was, and of how sleepy Rose must be.
Ooc// Tis storming here, must go.....

"All right then." The blond girl covered her mouth to muffle a yawn and pet the phone down on the bed in front of her. She angled the bass in her hands and started to play an upbeat tune and started to sing in a soft voice. “So let’s make a ruckus, Let’s make a sce-ene, call me a na-ame It’s gotta be mean, don’t really care, what they say, you know these people, it’s just their way, step back, hold on, and let go, let go.” she picked up the phone again. "How was that?"

When the fits of upchuck passed Tala quietly left. She didn’t want to be a burden and right now, as Cain tried to talk on the phone and comfort her she certainly felt like one.
After all, now that she had got the dream off her chest she felt slightly better. Cain was easy to talk to., one of the few people really she could talk too. Yet her older brother could only soothe her to a certain extent. It was easy to misinterpret her premonitions anyway. Didn’t she get all worked up in the fourth grade because she thought her teacher was going to feed her to the class hamster? In the end she was asked to watch over the fury pet for the weekend but ended up feeding it to there dog on accident. The outcome was pretty nasty but not nearly as bad as what she expected.
Maybe this was a similar situation, Tala mused as she lay in bed, wide awake. She was still to scared to go back to sleep. She argued with herself that she was blowing this out of proportion, but then she would argue that she ha never had a premonition quite so strong. Despite all her reasoning she still couldn’t shake the horrible feeling something gruesome was about to transpire and change the lives around of her and her loved ones forever.
(( Occ: Sorry I know it’s not very good but I’m in a hurry. I’m running late for church. By the way, welcome Rose. I’m glad you decided to join us. ))
